A. No. While a medical or health care background can be an asset, it certainly is not required. Nurse Next Door is looking for passionate, hardworking, sales-oriented business owners who can build relationships and lead teams.

A. Nurse Next Door’s Franchise Development team can walk you through the various ways franchisees typically secure funding. While Nurse Next Door does not provide financing directly, banks are generally receptive to funding franchises, simply because they are seen as a safer route than setting up your own business from scratch.

A. The initial franchise fee is £40,000. It gets you access to our world-class brand, systems, training, on-boarding and protected territory you’ll need for your franchise. It gives us bandwidth to provide you with the initial support and training you’ll need to get set up for success, as well as the proven business systems we use across the board. Included in your franchise fee is our Franchise Opener programme, with our week-long virtual training.

You will also get to speak to a cross-section of our Franchise Partners, and they will be able to share specifics of their business including the financials during the Validation Call step in the Franchise Discovery Call.

Online job boards, social media, word of mouth referrals, and job fairs are the most effective ways our Franchise Partners have found and hired great caregivers. We find that caregivers with the right skill sets resonate with our brand and a rewarding career, over a job that just promises them hours.

Ongoing support are provided by your Business Coach, and Marketing, and People teams to ensure you’re on the right track to reach and connect to applicants using up-to-date resources and tools!

A. A Nurse Next Door franchise is catered towards individuals who are leaders, have an entrepreneurial passion, and an undeniable level of tenacity. You’ll manage a team, hiring caregivers and other team members to support your business as you grow. You will be representing your business and brand in your local community. You will build relationships with local healthcare organisations in your community (hospitals, CCGs, social workers, GPs, etc.) and attend/host events to educate the public on home care as an option to consider! The core purpose of a Nurse Next Door franchise is to make lives better. Our Care Services Centre will support you 365 days a year, 7 days a week, with all scheduling requests so you can focus on being out in the community, building connections and referrals. A. Our team will guide you through the licensing process with the CQC. We got the forms you need to fill out and submit, and we will walk you through every step of the way.

A. In private home care, there are two types of providers for these services. Non-medical (non-skilled) services: This includes companionship, cooking and cleaning, light housekeeping, personal care (such as grooming), etc. Medical (skilled) services: This includes all of the non-skilled services plus hands-on, medical services administered by a Registered Nurse. This could include medication management, post-hospitalisation care, wound cleaning, and more. Being able to provide skilled services means the full spectrum of care. It gives a home care business owner the advantage of being able to service all types of clients, widening their potential base of clientele. Professional Referrals, as hospitals will prefer your business over other non-skilled providers, as you can provide premium medical services as the patient is discharged, ensure they have optimal care after a surgery, and reduce the risk of readmission. Nurse Next Door’s model is to provide a full spectrum of services to best meet our clients’ needs and ultimately allow our clients to age at home, happily, safely, and healthily.
